Jianhua Guo, Beijing Technology and Business University


Jianhua Guo is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Beijing Technology and Business University. He currently serves as president of Beijing Technology and Business University. He received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Statistics from Peking University in 1999. He is the convener of the Discipline Evaluation Group for Statistics of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, a specially-appointed professor of the "Changjiang Scholars Award Program" of the Ministry of Education, a national-level candidate of the "Millions of Talents Project" of the New Century, an excellent talent of the New Century awarded by the Ministry of Education, and a recipient of special government allowances from the State Council.

His main research interests include big data statistical modeling, statistical analysis of network data, high-dimensional data analysis, machine learning and Bayesian networks, statistical methods for text data mining, genetic epidemiology, bioinformatics, causal inference and modeling in observational studies, and statistical methods for biomedical statistics and technology evaluation.

Jianhua Guo currently serves as an editorial board member for prestigious international journals, such as the Journal of the American Statistical Association, Communications in Statistics, Frontiers in Genetics, Acta Mathematica Applicata Sinica, Journal of University of Science and Technology, Applied Probability and Statistics, and Applied Probability and Statistics.
